Securitization and other structured asset backed finance instruments
Hogan Lovells' Structured Finance and Securitisation team is based in our Amsterdam, Dubai, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, New York, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo and Warsaw offices and operates on an integrated basis internationally and across industries. We have extensive expertise in Germany and internationally in advising on the tax optimized structuring of securitization transactions and other structured asset backed finance instruments (ABCP-programs, CDOs, securitization of lease and trade receivables, consumer loans, including credit card and auto loans, RMBS, CMBS, commercial and private mortgage securitization). We have extensive industry specific expertise in those sectors in which securitizations and structured asset backed finance instruments are frequently used, e.g. in the automotive and financial sector as well as in the real estate and transportation sector. Clients include originators of securitised assets, managers and arrangers, investors, trustees, rating agencies and portfolio managers. In these areas, we frequently advise on national and international portfolio transactions and debt funds. Furthermore, we focus our work on advising on securitization technics within the financial market stabilization measures. In order to include receivables generated by the foreign subsidiaries of our clients in the securitization transaction, we work closely with our international offices on pan European and global structured finance transactions, which are being led by the German team. Our structured finance and securitization practice is frequently recommended by independent legal directories for its expertise in securitization of loan, trade and leasing receivables as well as in securitization of insurance risks.
