In his career Paolo led the execution of ground-breaking transactions including the largest Italian covered bond programme (UniCredit OBG), the largest European RMBS (Cordusio RMBS 5) and the largest European market based NPL Securitisation (Project FINO). He has a summa cum laude degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and a master in Risk Management & Controll.

Akinade (Aki) Dada is Managing Director and Head of Securitized Portfolio Funding & Portfolio Management, which also comprises UniCredit’s Global ABCP Conduit, Arabella. Aki joined UniCredit London in 2004 and over the years has held several positions within the securitization team, including head of the Structuring and Quantitative and until 2023 head of Securitisation and Asset Backed Solutions, UK. Prior to joining UniCredit, Aki was an Associate Director in Fitch Ratings’ Structured Finance department responsible for rating Consumer and Commercial ABS transactions.
Aki has a 20+ years’ experience in the securitization business, where he has structured numerous ABS transactions across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes (including Auto, Consumer, Lease, RMBS & SRT transactions). He has led the execution of many innovative transactions, including the first Italian auto ABS cash securitisation post the financial crisis achieving significant risk transfer (SRT), or the first Italian rental fleet transaction securitizing residual values under the Italian securitization regime. Aki holds a Master in European Business (with Distinction) from the CASS Business School (London) & ESCP Paris, and a Bachelor of Science Business Studies degree from CASS Business School (London).

With a solution-driven approach UniCredit has been amongst the leading players in the European securitisation market over the recent years. UniCredit's Securitisation and Asset Backed Solutions Team offers clients the full range of securitisation products and structured products based on securitisation technique across different asset classes including, but not limited to loans, leases (including Residual Value) and trade receivables. The Securitisation and Asset Backed Solutions team, which is part of the Client Solutions division, focuses on structuring, placing and financing transactions for corporates and financial institutions in UniCredit Group’s core markets as well as for UniCredit Group. Backed by one of the largest teams across European banks and operating via our two hubs in Milan and Munich and, we are eager to deliver customised solutions that meet our clients’ needs leveraging on our extensive track record but also on the heterogenous skillsets of our team members all enjoying decades of experience in the field.
The business model of Securitisation and Asset Backed Solutions for corporate clients and financial institutions is geared towards clients in UniCredit Group’s home markets and also to international companies.
The offered products range from private solutions (based on our balance-sheet capabilities but also on our ABCP Programme “Arabella Finance DAC”) to publicly placed transactions, focusing on funding driven solutions (with the main objective of diversifying funding sources at favorable conditions), to regulatory capital optimisation deals or transactions aimed at enhancing working capital needs (with/without asset de-recognition).
Due to the size of our ABCP Programme Arabella Finance DAC, which is one of the largest ABCP Programmes sponsored by a European bank, in combination with our direct balance-sheet investments, we are one of the top underwriters in client driven European private/public ABS transactions with an aggregate exposure in excess of EUR 15bn.
